TNPSC exam: How to score in General Tamil paper without deep literature background?

I passed through English medium and my Tamil literature knowledge is basic. The General Tamil paper in TNPSC is a challenge for me. What specific chapters or topics from Tamil language and literature should I focus on? Which books are enough to score 65+?

The General Tamil paper rewards the grammar and author/literature factual portions more than deep literary analysis. Focus on the Samacheer Tamil grammar sections, the prescribed authors and their works, and PYQ patterns. A focused 1.5-2 months on grammar + author-work mapping is enough to cross 65+.
