Speed comes from two things: memorizing tables up to 30, squares to 30, cubes to 15, and 1/n fractions as percentages; and drilling DI sets daily with a timer. Learn approximation aggressively — in Prelims you rarely need exact values. 30 minutes of timed mental-maths daily moves the needle fast.
Stop solving in your head only — write less, but practice on real DI/quant sets under the clock. Accuracy first, then push speed.
